MapInfo Manager enables organisations to build and manage centralised catalogues of their spatial data in order to make it easy for all who need the data to find it, understand it and use it. Open standards are used to make MapInfo Manager suitable for a wide variety of potential users. MapInfo Manager is part of the PBBI Enterprise GIS suite and integrates well with other products in the suite including MapInfo Professional and MapInfo Stratus.

  • MapInfo Manager has been designed in consultation with GIS Managers and GIS Users to be intuitive and easy to use. Building the reference library for your data, sharing data through catalogues and via a Web Map Server are just a few clicks away.
  • This screen shot depicts the full record detail window for the metadata. Metadata records can be edited in this window. It is possible to select and edit metadata records individually or in groups.
  • When collecting metadata, templates of standardised values can be applied. Templates might be created for individual people, departments or datasets.
  • MapInfo Manager can 'harvest' (automatically collect) metadata. This image highlights the button to press to get the process started as well as the dialog box that appears. Note the option to choose a template (as seen in the previous screen shot).
  • Setting up one or more CSWs (Catalog Services Web) is very easy. These catalogues are used to allow users to search for and access data. For more info see our White papers on INSPIRE.
  • Sharing data through the CSW and WMS is very easy! First select the data you want to add and then click the button to add the tables to the CSW or WMS!
