Pavement Management in the UK (UKPMS) and other geographies
Confirm’s Pavement Management System allows Road Network Stewards to produce plans to optimise the proposed treatments for their Road Network. Road Network Stewards commission or undertake machine surveys of their network, which collect SCANNER data and then import and process that data to produce National Indicators; a comprehensive Network Inventory and a base from which economic modeling can be made to financially optimise the treatments proposed in order to maintain network availability in perpetuity. In the UK, the “rules and parameters” within the software are kept up to date by Pitney Bowes Software, along with National Indicator reports and these are then checked through the annual health check mechanism.
The 2010 annual health check will introduce and merge the new CIPFA Code of Practice for the Valuation of Highways Infrastructure Assets with UKPMS for carriageways and footways.
